Magnesium Advice

Hi,

Was hoping for some advice on how much magnesium people are taking for relief from Ectopic beats, and at what frequency during the day for best results. I am currently taking a combo of Taurate & Bisglycinate, but any suggestion on what works for other people inc brands would be so helpful.

Also how long did it take for the Ectopics to reduce/go away?

Cheers

Si

I think the current load that you are taking will suffice. I only take bisglycinate chelated form and feel it does a good enough job (200 mg every two or three days - I took more before the ablation and am in NSR). I don't think the ectopics ever go away but are reduced and that you notice that reduction.

I get ectopic beats.

Was going to take magnesium but didn't want to take any more pills.

So I have spinach every day put it in boiling water for a few seconds and have it with dinner and I seem to get less ectopic beats.

Works for me but it might not for some

I take 400mg mag. citrate daily.I am going to start taking it as night as I have it helps you to sleep better. When I was first disgnosed with afib and a slightly enlarged heart it was suggested the magnesium may well reduce the enlarged heart a bit and therefore help the heart to pump better. A thorough heart overhaul 2 years ago seems to have confirmed this has happened.

I take Magnesium from togetherhealth, its marine MG comprising oxide, hydroxide, sulphate, carbonate, and chloride! I know, there so many forms of Magnesium! I went for the natural and have 376mg per day. It does dampen down the ectopics .

I take magnesium taurate 100mg three times a day. I think it helps as I have had only one epidode of afib since taking it and it was not as intense. I occasionally get ectopics but deep breathing banishes them.
