Absolutely. Mine died about 18 months ago and miss her every day. Looking at getting another soon.

Do - it goes such a long way to easing the loss.

Yes indeed when I held my beauty as he was put to sleep it was heart breaking. 14 weeks in I still miss him terribly. As I am alone most days,he was my companion.

Any dog that let's you cry into his ears is precious..!

Ah, I feel for you, I know how hard that is. I burst into tears at the vet's some weeks after having one of my cats put to sleep. I couldn't get over the feeling of being this little being's executioner, even though it was the right thing to do. The vet was so kind and gave me a hug and talked me through it.

On my last appointment with my HF nurse I looked over her shoulder and noticed she had my last consultant’s report on the screen. (Never understand why this isn’t available to me, but that’s another story!)

The part I could see stated that I was currently stable, probably due in part to the fact that I walked my dogs everyday, and was now managing three miles in each walk.

Doesn't surprise me in the least! Our little dog accompanies us everywhere and gets us out of the house come rain or shine. Just adore her.

The soothing therapy of stroking a pet is well proven to be beneficial to many people, so the conclusion of this report doesn't surprise me at all. We have shared our lives for over 50 years with our beloved Border Collies and still laugh and remember each one for his antics and closeness.

Ive never not had a dog. Currently have 4, they are part of the family
