Lost my dog today,,,
So Sorry for your loss, looks a fine old chap . Lost my cavalier a few years ago it's awful , takes time , but try remember the joy and happiness he brought. Obviously a very much loved member of the family, try not let it make you ill, easier said than done I know, best wishes. Ian.
So sorry to hear your sad news. I know that heartache is just like losing a family member. Big hug. Jean x
So sorry you lost your love. We have always had dogs so I understand the pain. Hope each day gets a little better for you💜
💋
Understand and feel for you .We have lost two cats so far this year. Down to one now.
Beautiful boy. Thinking of you and sending hugs xx
So so sorry for your loss it's heartbreaking I know but the beautiful memories will live on after the pain. Take care 💝
I am so sorry that you have lost your beautiful dog.
Having lived with dogs for many years it is so painful to say good bye.
You have indeed so many lovely memories of the wonderful times you have shared.
I keep you in my thoughts.
So sorry. X
I’m so sorry for the pain you are going through from the loss of your beautiful friend. I really feel for you - take care. xxx
Oh no I am so sorry! My dogs mean everything to me and have helped me to cope with my anxiety, losing a dog is as painful as losing a person (sometimes moreso).
Oh hunny I am so so sorry for the sad loss of your lovely faithful friend, I too have had to experience the sorrow that time brings. Aww please remember forever the wonderful memories and love you treasure in your heart. Love and bless you Gladie. Xxx.
So very sorry, one of the saddest things we humans have to do. What a beautiful boy. ♥️
Sorry about your loss, it is terrible to say goodbye to a much loved pet. But all hiss pain is gone now. Big hugs and love to you all.
💕💕💕🤗🤗🤗
You are very much in my thoughts.
Di
That's so sad. I'm really sorry.
When my lab, Jenny Woolypup, died I planted a miniature conifer in her memory. It's called the Jenny Tree. It really helped at the time and it's her memorial.
Very best wishes
Losing a best friend is so hard, they are family and with us every day, loyal, trusting and giving unconditional love so keep all those wonderful memories close and remember the good times you had together and may your beautiful boy rest in eternal peace x
Sorry to hear that Wilsond. It`s heart breaking when you lose a pet. At least you know though he lead a good life and was well loved. He lived to a good age too - 87 in doggie years.
Best,
Paul
Cried like baby when I said goodbye to my old friend. Went out to the dog shelter the next day and found a new best mate, that was fifteen years ago and we are getting close to repeating the process. Take care. Stupid Dogs!!
Oh no! Really sorry for your loss. Some people don't understand the connection you have with pets. They are truly family! My thoughts are with you
Very sorry for you, its a hard time and they are part of the family. We lost our old lab 2 years ago, he had been ill for a while and it was a difficult time and I still miss him lots. We said we would never get another but a year later got another lab pup. We still call the new pup Ben sometimes even though she is a little girl.
Oh dear - so sorry for your loss. Like losing a trusted friend and confidante. Animals always pick up on your well-being. Best wishes CD
So sorry for your loss. It's so hard x
Been there,know that feeling,so sorry.
So sorry to read of your loss, but as a responsible and loving owner you know the time was right. It doesn't help the grief though l, I know. Hugs. 💖
So sorry
So sorry to hear of your loss we lost our lovely 13yr old black lab in April. It's so very painfull that unless you are a dog lover no one understands. My thoughts are with you xx
Thank you all for your lovely comments here. Xxxx
You need to grieve, and cry when you feel like it, it us all part of it, remember you have lost one of the family, I am sure he had a lovely caring life, and he knew you were with him when he passed, so knew he was loved until the end. It gets easier but leaves a hole in your heart every time 😘😘
So very sorry, he looks like a lovely gentle giant. I discharged myself from hospital on the day my husband came to tell me that my dog had passed away, because I just couldn't accept that she'd gone. Luckily the cardiologist I was under was a dog lover, so understood and I went back in. Big hugs for the coming days because you'll need them! Sharon
So sorry. He looks such a gprgeous boy. I still miss mine after 12 years. They become so much a part of our family. He would not want you to be ill thpugh so stay strong xxx
So sad for you. Take care. X
Thank.you everyone, heart is steady considering everything that happened yesterday,my brother in law was rushed into intensive care in the afternoon...Awaiting tests but he's deep.yellow with blisters all over his legs......never rains but it pours eh? My poor hubby looked dreadful last night...
Keeping my flecanaide and betablocker to hand and focussing on positives xxx
I am truly so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers go out to you! I've recently lost 3 of my beloved furkids within 8 months, all seniors but 1 unexpectedly, had no clue how sick he really was. May the fond memories of your beloved bring peace and comfort, and heal your heart!
Thinking of you .Its so hard? My heart goes out to . I still cry for my little dog whom I had to let be put to sleep. He was fourteen and my best friend.I still hear his little footsteps.🌟🌈🌟🌈🌟
It is so hard. Grief is exhausting so take care. So sorry for your pain it hurts badly I know.
Yes I do understand. I still suddenly cry when I see his picture on my wall. I think that you have to tell yourself what a wonderful life he had with you.I must say that he a had a long life for his breed type.I have two more little chihauhaus now. It took me a long time to decide to have them but they have given me new interest and are completely different to my other boy.I hope that you feel a bit better soon, Words are not enough. Very big hugs.xxxx
I can truly sympathise, our lovely Sacha died just over a month ago, and I have cried many tears, and so miss her lovely gentleness around the place. If you are a dog lover they leave a huge hole when they leave us. I really feel for you.
So very sorry to hear you lost your beloved dog. I know how this feels. Sending you hugs ☘️
So very sorry. I had to make that awful decision a few weeks ago. Ben was my last connection to my late husband, but at 15 was suffering. I too held him as he went. My heart goes out to you at this awful time. xx
So sorry to hear your news, I know how devastating it is to lose such a dear friend and companion. Take care x
Nothing I can say can do anything to stop the pain you're feeling. It does get easier. But having lost pets myself in different circumstance the heartbreak is only too raw for a long time.
Glad you were there - he will have known.
😢 so sorry for you. Try to remember the fun times. Xx
sorry to hear of your loss I know how you feel. I have lost 6 animals in the last year the last one only being a week ago.
Oh, how awful, so very sad. I am so very sorry for your loss. I am sure the dog had a wonderful life with you and you will certainly miss it terribly. Lots of good wishes and sympathy for your loss.
My thoughts are with you Remember all the good times and smile Your friend is still always by your side in heart and mind xx
I don’t think I have ever seen as many replies to a post here. That says so much. They are our true best friends. Mine have sat thru afib episodes with me in the middle of the night, just laying beside me, heads in my lap. Not understanding, but knowing they needed to help.
I feel your sorrow.
So sad, sorry to hear that ...
You have my sincere sympathy. Lost our beloved Molly last year, red setter only 10, so know how hard this is. It gets easier but never goes away. Feel free to grieve this family member.
So sorry Wilsond your best friend and beloved pet has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. It really feels like your ♥️ is broken. I had to put my 2 best friends down together they were Mother and Son think of them everyday. God Bless you and your grieving family
I am very sorry for your loss. He looked lovely. I lost my dog too a few years ago & it does get better with time but he is never far from my thoughts, in a nice way. Wishing you all the best. X
Sorry to hear your sad news.
Despite not being dog owner I understand how much of a part of the family they become.
Hope you find a way of coping with your loss.
Pete
So sorry about your dog. I know how that feels.
I lost my beloved Siamese cat a month ago and still cry for him every day,he was a rescue cat and we had him for 8 Christmases, I held him as he went to sleep so I know and feel your heartache, they are family members and takes a long while to recover from such love, given so freely to us. To love is also to hurt at times like this. Am thinking of you.
wilsond I as so sorry to hear you have lost your dog
Dogs have always played a big part in my life so I can appreciate how sad you must be feeling.
I know we should try not to get upset when we have AF , I usually wander around sobbing to myself when I lose a precious friend and am sure I will do the same when my current one goes.
So sorry for your loss what a beautiful boy .He will leave a big hole in your life.Take care 💜
Thank you everyone..67 responses shows me the depth of support on this great forum. I've had a few runs of AF but was prepared for that. My concern now is for my younger son...who grew up with his dog..through thick n thin
Thank you all xx
so sorry you have lost your beautiful friend - don't know how I'll cope when I lose mine but wouldn't be without them. There is no cure to the sadness although I find I remember the happy times more now. I realise that they can never be replaced as they are all such wonderful and different characters, but I'd consider getting another dog. I didn't for years after my first pair died, but looking back on it I see it as lost time as I recognise that tying though they are, life isn't the same without a furry companion or two! Best wishes. Jan x
Oh no. Sending lots of love and hugs your way. We lost our family dog last year- a week later I was in hospital with atrial flutter. Look after yourself x
Aw... such a shame they have to go. He looks like he had a good life. I'm a total atheist, but nevertheless I still reckon all my dogs will be waiting for me up (or down) there when my time comes. Dogs are so good, much better than people.
Thank you so much
So sorry Wilson’s for you and your puppy. Sure you gave him or her the best life they could have had with you.
I will never forget the day that my baby Jonathan went to heaven. It was one of the saddest days of my lifetime … I loved him too much … I still carry his ashes with me and this was many years ago. The pain is awful and the tears flow freely. My very best wishes to you.
Hello I am new on here and saw this post. I lost my dog in November just before Christmas. It was the worst Christmas ever. We cried, cried and cried again - and still have a tear. The love from an animal is so unconditional and so very different. Its a special bond a special love. Our house is empty as he lit up every room. Rubie was 10 yrs old when he left us and like yourself I held him in my arms. He would never have left me and I wasn't about to leave him. He was my life saviour when I lost my husband and he gave me a reason to go on. I owe him so much. I think God has a time for all of us and his timing is perfect. As time goes on you will begin to realise that it was a blessing for your lovely baby and probably you. I have just been diagnosed with AF. My dog was poorly and needed a lot of looking after, which I couldn't have done now. I thank God he is at peace, that I was able to look after him and that he finished his journey with me. He would have been so stressed with someone else looking after him. He only had eyes for me. I know he is safe. Your baby is too. He will be in your heart forever. He was meant to come to you. You give them your best and God does the rest. Hope this helps.
