Been doing really well until today and started getting bad headache. Blood pressure was 164/108 so took my nighttime dose of lisinopril and Coreg early and an hour later lower but still high at 150/95. Is this normal?

Hi Flaka

I can bring my blood pressure down. I take a deep breath in and then blow out of my mouth quickly. I only have to do this about ten times, usually stopping when I'm happy with the level and it usually stays roughly the same throughout the day. Have a go at doing the same thing and see if it helps you. Can you please let me know if it does or doesn't help as I don't want to tell others about this if it only works for me.

Always remember to take some nice deep breaths throughout the day too.

Good luck.

Jean

Thanks I will try the deep breathing and see if that helps. I was wondering if other people had that problem after their ablation procedure.

Can't say I had noticeable BP problems post any of my ablaitons, however let us know how you get on with the extra dose!

Most people take a beta blocker with another bp lowering medication. Also I'm not sure but wait can make a significant difference to your blood pressure so if you are overweight losing 10% of your body weight can make a significant difference. a beta blocker is designed to block receptors from adrenaline to the heart and that slows the heart rate down and the force at which the heart beats but usually another bait another blood pressure medication will open up your arteries to reduce your blood pressure so check with your physician.
