Just a quick update, saw EP today, 3 months exactly after my 2nd Ablation for paroxysmal AF. I haven’t had any AF episodes at all and only a couple of ectopics here and there. I’ve been taken of the amiodarone as of today and will continue with Rivaroxaban for a year. He did say that as the amiodarone wears off be prepared incase the AF episodes start up again but as it wasn’t very effective before the procedure he’s quietly confident that they won’t. Apparently 2 of my 4 pulmonary veins reconnected after the first ablation last year, I’m hoping that won’t happen again...
Thanks again for this wonderful group and all your support. In the darkest of moments it’s always reassuring to know that there are people out there who understand what you are going through.
Sorry, it wasn’t a quick update after all!

Fantastic to hear, and I also am 6 weeks post 2nd ablation after the first one was successful against fib, but resulted in Flutter which was much worse.
Also off drugs except Eliquis, and so much better atm.
hoping it is long lasting but this forum has likewise given me the support that the EP and GP have not been able to provide.
No pre information at all about the horrendous ride I had post first ablation, severe Afib episodes much worse than before, followed by Flutter I was never told may occur.
good luck with a permanent solution, fingers crossed for you.
Personally, despite little alcohol post 2 ablations, my enjoyment of life is much better than before.
I've stopped worrying about crap.
Just feeling my heart and chest being normal is bliss. (touch wood).
Two months ago I had an ablation for atypical aflutter. Lucky me Atypical. I had a prior afib ablation and was in NSR for 14 months. First two months after this aflutter ablation my heart was calm, but I had intermittent flutter over the Christmas week. I had to travel for a funeral, was sleep deprived, and also had a stomach bug that put me on the toilet. Hoping my ablation will hold. Four flutter circuits were terminated but flutter #5 was not as the procedure was going on so long. I was cardioverted during procedure. I am still taking propafenone. I think flutter symptoms are worse than afib.
That's good news, thank you for sharing. I had an ablation just under 3 weeks ago. Very much hope mine holds and doesn't reconnect. But reassuring to know it can be sorted if it does. I hope you continue well.
