Let me second that. Really enjoyed the conversations and meeting people.
Look forward to the next and of course many thanks to Jeanjeanie50 and BobD for organising.
And a big thank you from myself and Andy thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with you all again and the perfect excuse for a bit of retail therapy in Exeter too. We look forward to the next time.

Thank you all for coming along, the laughs we had, and sharing your stories!
I'll do some research on a different place to meet up. It will need to be somewhere that could give us our own room and allow us to sit and chat afterwards.
I'm wondering about the Brend Hotel in Exeter BobD ? Do you know it? I've eaten there several times, but it was a long time ago. Will see what I can find out.
I think we all agreed that lunch, when we meet up again, would be a good idea.

Hi Jean - Glad you all had a good time, I will be down there in a few weeks time so missed again. The Brend hotel is the Devon Hotel ( Motel) many years ago and is on the A379 near Matford. Good for those coming by car, not far from the M5 but a taxi ride for train travelers. I have not been there for years, it did get a bit run down but I think it has had a revamp more recently. There are not many hotels in central Exeter, some around the clock tower area but they mainly only cater for B & B and evening meals plus parking is not good. There is another Mecure Hotel the Southgate which I know does have private rooms, but although it does state it is near to city centre it is the wrong side of town for Central station. Parking there can be difficult, if you can not get in their car park (which is not large) it would be difficult to park nearby. There are quite a few just outside of Exeter but would mean a 1/2 hour taxi ride. The one that would have been ideal is the Clarence Hotel in cathedral yard but the is still being rebuilt after a terrible fire a while ago, a beatiful old hotel. When I am down in a few weeks time I will have a look around. Hope that helps.
