I really do apologise in advance if this post contains TMI but I really want to share something I’ve discovered over the past few weeks.
I have been suffering really really badly with a racing heart and palpitations, dizziness, extreme bloating and extremely extreme burping after I eat, that goes on for 1-2 hours. This has been going on for years but has reached unbearable levels over the last few years and in the last few months. It’s ruining my life. I’ve cut out loads of foods and tried all manner of weird and wonderful things to no avail.
Anyway about 3 weeks ago it was happening really bad after breakfast and I was looking for breakfast ideas and came across a recipe for overnight oats with Chia seeds in. I’ve never had them before or overnight oats so I made a batch and loved them.
On day 3 I was woken up at 6.30 am needing the loo 💩 😂sorry, very personal I know but bear with me. Every single day since then I’ve woken up at roughly the same time every morning needing the loo. Apart from two days when I didn’t have the oats and I didn’t. When I go to the loo it’s also very different, shall we just say it’s exactly as it should be. 🥴
I have to say that not immediately but definitely in the 2nd week I noticed less burping and swelling. It’s not gone completely but it is less. I have to be careful of carbs and sugar still but my tummy feels less sensitive.
Ive looked online and chia seeds are a prebiotic “ a non-digestible food ingredient that promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the intestines.” I had no idea.
This has been very much an accidental discovery and god knows if it will last but it has definitely helped me going to the loo 💩 sorry couldn’t resist 😂
Wonder if anyone else has found anything at all that helps in any way whatsoever with the terrible burping, bloating heart racing thing?
