Good morning friends, just an update from me. I am being very well looked after. Having carers 4x a day. Physiotherapy every day. Doctor payed a visit on her insistence. Because I kept struggling for breath. Got fluid on the lungs, due to the hospital messing about with my meds. And heart failure So has prescribed some additional tablets Ramipril I think, they are being delivered this morning. Back on Apixaban tomorrow. Got basket for frame so I can make and transport a coffee myself. ( be a gin & tonic soon ) got to get the armchair shifted back in place. Stuck in front of drinks cabinet. Lots of furniture has been moved to accommodate me and my frame playing havoc with my ocd. But overal doing well. Not as quick as I hoped but will get there. Once again thank you all for being there for me. Love you all very much, and it is such a tremendous help to me. Big squishy cyber hugs from me. π€π€πππ Rienij

Thank you for update you have been in all our thoughts these past weeks and thanks also to Rellim for keeping us updated when you have been to poorly to do so...

Thank you Carol. You all have been so supportive. It really helped me cope with all of it. Thank you doesnβt really say it all. πππ Rienij
That's really awful! An armchair in front of the drinks cabinet! How bad can things get? Is AF, cancer, strangulated hernia and a small stroke in quick succession not enough? And your husband whisked into care.
But so uplifting for us all to be seeing you fighting your way with so much determination and fortitude - and success - through this horrid run of events. Thank you for keeping us up to date. We all feel for you.
So glad that we are a help to you. Hugs to you too. What a blessing a sense of humour is!
Glad you agree, about the drinks cabinet. Life can be cruelππ
It's lovely to receive an update from you Rienij.
I hope the new tablets will soon clear the fluid on your lungs. Do you feel that your body is becoming any stronger as each day goes by and have you been given any indication that you may make a complete recovery from your stroke?
Your house must appear very busy with so many people calling in to help aid your recovery. I really hope that they are all nice people.
Are you able to visit your husband at all, or still too poorly for that?
Big healing hug being sent your way from me.

Good morning Jean, still struggle at the moment, but I am sure it will get easier. All carers very nice, canβt complain. Some more capable than others. But that is to be expected. My husband is in safe hands. Not to happy but we speak most days on messenger. He was a bit worried about his future but I hope I put him at ease. Just had a message from my daughter that a room will become vacant in care home near our home. Only three streets away, and very nice. Becoming vacant on the 11th of Feb. I still keep hoping I can have him back home. Havenβt been able to visit yet. πππ Rienij
I do hope that your recovery continues smoothly.
I was equipped with a Zimmer frame last year and was appalled at its effect on my posture. It took me ages to regain an upright stance. I now use a wheeled walker which had a seat that doubles as a tray holder. Have a look at Walkandrest.com.
Keep up the good work onwards and upwards. X
I havenβt been following your posts but Rellim did mention to me that you had a very rough time. Iβm so pleased you are home and being well cared for and that you so many caring people thinking and wishing you well - to which I add my own. Best wishes X
Thank you for letting us know how you are doing - naughtily by the sound of plans to use your frame as a booze trolley! π. Being at home is a major comfort in itself and I hope every day will see you feeling better. Very best wishes. xx
How cruel to put a chair in front of the drinks cabinet! π so pleased that you are improving well. Being able to make and bring your own drinks is a real bonus. My aunty recently was very unwell, but only had a wheely frame so couldn't carry drinks etc. Made a big difference when she got one like yours.
I hope you're able to see husband regularly and that he is being looked after as well as you. We have been thinking of you both, and your daughter too.
I am not going out today,we have a bit of snow and lots of ice. We live on top of a ridge, with steep hills all around,so driving in my little car is a bit scary! We shall eat out of the freezer or tinned fare!π
Thank you for keeping us up to date, keep up good work..and cheers !!xxx
Glad I got you all on my side. Slowly getting there. As part of my rebellion I was going to order false eye lashes for my little car. To put above the lights. But my son in law said, he wouldnβt drive it to fill up petrol for me looking like a hairdresser. WHY? If I canβt do something mad at my age, and bits falling off when can I? Husband is safe, but not to happy. I speak on messenger nearly everyday. Hopefully wonβt be for long. πππ Rienij
It is your rebel spirit that has kept you going so it should be encouraged! Thanks for the update, here's to the G&T πΈ π
I love your sense of humour Rienij and wish I could join you in a naughty glass of G&T. Cheers, here's to your health and much better times ahead for you πΈππ
Well done. You sound so bright and positive. I think a G & T would do you good. Anything to lift the spirit (including the eyelashes)
Really pleased care for both parties working for you and husband. You certainly have a great attitude. Hope things continue to improve. Sounds like the only way is up now. Sending a hug.
Love Wendyb
Yes, put the eyelashes on! With everything you have gone through you need a bit of light relief. Hoping that things continue to improve for you and your husband. You are in my thoughts.
