Post ablation fatigue

It is nearly 4 weeks since my Cryoablation, and I am so tired! I have been lucky enough not to have experienced much in the way of chest discomfort, had a few episodes of wonky rhythm, groin pain and bruising subsided with no problems...it is the unexpected fatigue that I am struggling with! I feel as if I have the flu, aching muscles and no energy.

Thank goodness for a lovely husband who is so patient and understanding, a real Florence Nightingale 😊

Hi Jeanette, I too am post Ablation (7days) and I am also feeling so unnaturally tired.

My first Ablation in March this year was Cryoablation and my recovery was relatively symptom free.

This last one was RF Ablation and was non comparable to the Cryo Ablation.

I have woken this morning feeling more positive and a little less tired .... so here’s hoping you will notice a difference very soon.

My very best wishes in your recovery.

We talk about this in our fact sheet on recovery from ablation and it is very normal. The heart will take three to six months to fully heal and lots will happen in that time. Doctors seldom explain this to patients which is why we wrote and published the guide. Written BY patients FOR patients. Be patient and it will improve over time but please don't fight it. Stay well hydrated and listen to your body.

Where do you get your fact sheet?

When I scroll down from fact sheets I don’t find recovering.

Did you find the list of facts sheets because it is there? Trust me I checked.
