Apixaban & TIA- Update

Hi just to update all who replied to my post. I went to the GP and she reassured me that I was low risk for stroke as I was anticoagulated but would speak with the stroke consultant roll on 2 weeks and I have just been to see the stroke consultant. I am being treated as having another TIA as when I had my first TIA in August 2016 my right internal carotid artery was blocked as a result of this, he thinks that I have had small blood clots being broken off from the occluded artery. I am now to have an angiogram and on top of Apixaban to take 75mg of aspirin. Thankfully I have no lasting effects but this all scares the life out of me. 😬

Sadly carotid plaque is nothing to do with AF and woudl be a problem regardless I understand so you have a double whammy. All hopes for a good outcome.
