Please I want to have your opinion

On oct 2016 i had an angiogram who show some blocage on right carotid 1 st cardiologist suggère a stent s 2 nd one statin 10 and baby aspirin my choice was to follow the second cardiologist

I supplement with vit D magnesium and TUMERIC

In 2018 I had 2 AF now my doc want to do other angio to see if new plaque is there

What scarring me is irradiation because have done Calcium score 45 ,cardiaque scinti,mammogram et ,2 chest X Ray,and angio, Thanks for feed back

That’s a reasonable question to ask your doctor. The information below may help

An ultrasound of the carotid artery might be a satisfactory alternative. This doesn’t involve radiation I believe.

You have to consider the risk of any test against the benefit of having it; and the risk of not having it, if it is going to help the doctor decide about important treatment.

If it was me, I would ask if an ultrasound would be sufficient, but if not, I would have the CT angiogram (assuming that is what you are talking about).
