More nature...

After a week or so of feeling good I seem to be on a downward slope again with pains and palpitations (not helped I’m sure by the adventures of my mother with dementia but that’s another story).

Anyway, the dolphins have been very active today and they swam by to say hi at lunchtime. Dolphins never fail to put a smile on my face. 🐬😀

Thanks Vonnie. No doubt your job is stressful. My brother used to be a nurse in an aged care home but he recently gave it up as he found there was just too much pressure. He now works with disabled kids in schools.

I have meeting tomorrow for phased back to work but I'm worried that twelve hour shifts along with the pressure of being senior will now be stressful

It’s tough isn’t it? Hopefully they will be understanding and you can have your phased return to work. X

Sorry to hear you feel you are on that downward slope Kaz. I've been on it many times too, but it has never failed to turn back up again and I feel sure it will for you in time. I do sometimes wonder if it's our bodies telling us to slow down, stop worrying, be calm and rest. Having a mother with dementia must be so hard for you and of course that's a worry that is not easy to put aside.

Thank goodness for the beauty of nature and your dolphins to give us a lift when we need it.

Hope you soon feel better and sending you a big healing hug.

Jean

Enjoy the Dolphins and let them calm you. Nothing like nature to help the calming process. I live yards from some of the most beautiful countryside in the uk with gorgeous views, watching animals grazing and lamas bounding about with their long necks taking in what's happening around them. Very levelling.

I get the worries re your mum with dementia it's an awful condition, please don't do what my mum did with my gran and give her life over to her to the exclusion of her own health, please be kind to yourself too in the midst of all the upset. Best wishes.

Thanks meadfoot. A least I have siblings to share the load and an Aunty who is a great help. I know if I don’t look after myself I’ll be no good to anyone else. I’m ‘sandwich generation’ with added extras - Mum has dementia & one daughter has autism 🍞🙃🍞(not to mention a husband with health issues which is why I’ve been the main breadwinner for years). It’s no wonder my body said enough is enough 🤪I agree, nature and animals can be very calming. 😀

Any chance of moving to 8 hour shifts?

Sorry to hear it kaz, stress the nightmare of our hearts! . Looks stunning and the dolphins sound epic, feel the same at times, but don't let it get you down, tomorrow is another day, and we are all here to download to 👍
