Cancelled Ablation

Hi everyone, after plucking up courage to have another go after what happened the last time, I was given a date of Aug 2nd which was cancelled, another app. For this week Aug. 9th. Over the weekend I felt really rough, shivering and a temperature, on antibiotics for a week.it looks like another cancelled, still waiting for Sec. to ring me, fed up isn’t the word. Sorry for having a moan. Any feedback will be appreciated x

Oh how frustrating for you. All the buildup is so stressful. Hope the secretary gets back to you quickly. They will make the best decision for you whether to go ahead or cancel. Either way you will be in safe hands. Thinking of you. Best wishes. You will get there eventually. X

Why don’t you ring the secretary ?

Take control and tell him/her how the waiting is causing you stress.

Just a thought

You have every right to feel gutted. Your only consolation is that you really do need to be in your very best physical condition for the ablation. Delay now will help your recovery from what sounds like a viral infection.

Very best wishes for your eventual ablation.

Hi Jennydog thank you for replying, the doctor I seen yesterday in the A@E more or less said, it want be going ahead. I know I have to be healthy for the ablation The sec. just rang now I explained so she’s having a word with the team and getting back in touch, I’m not looking forward to waiting but there’s nothing I can do.she said long waiting list, thank you very much I do appreciate it. X

My understanding is that it really is up to the anaesthetist if you are having GA. I was told a cold did not stop things unless I was coughing coloured phlegm but I guess every hospital is different. Why the antibiotics by the way? Sounds like a virus and they won't help that at all.

It's just 'sods law' that you are not fit right now. Gosh, what life throws at us! Some things are not meant to be at certain times in our lives. Leave yourself in the hands of fate and that will be the right thing to do.

Wishing you well again.
