Ablation cancelled.

Hi all.Was due my ablation at St Thomas's tomorrow and just leaving to catch train.Got a call saying cancelled till Monday.Very sorry .Had to faff around cancelling and amending hotel and train tickets.Very stressful but done .Plus side its windy and gloomy today hopefully Sun will be nicer. Have a good day everyone .

Thats a blow. I had a similar call from them when I was scheduled in for a EP study. I was already in London as I had gone down a day early. When they heard that they switched things around and the EP study took place as planned. Are you staying in their on site accommodation, I found it useful to do so.

Good look with your ablation you are in good hands there, I always feel safe in their care.

They did offer the Simon Lodge but we had already paid for 2 nights at the premiere inn which just about manage to change with 10 mins to their deadline.

How gutting when you're all geared up for it mentally, not just physically. Really feel for you. AND I'm pleased to hear it is a reschedule not a cancellation with no date attached.Good luck.

This seems to happen a lot. If you watch any hospital documentaries you'll know that each morning there's a 'bed meeting'. It's tragic - the frustration of the medics desperate to help their patients is palpable but things are so backed up and emergencies obviously do still happen so non urgent, even when booked, get rescheduled at short notice. So glad it's only a few days. Which hospital? Had mine done at QEH Birmingham. Very happy and good overnight stay in hospital.

Dear Ethel So sorry to hear about the cancellation. It can be very frustrating but as you said let’s see the positive side of it. I am sure the weather will be nice on Sunday and if it is nice everything seems to be promising and much easier.
