I buy Magnesium Citrate by Solgar from Amazon. It has worked very well for me. I also take menopace which has 100mg of max ox so in total 300mg ish daily. Wonderful results. No af for months now. (After 18 years. Many drugs pacemaker and ablations). Plus bonus lower back pain much improved.

I first had Mag oxide with calcium and vit d from boots and even that helped.

Sanjay Gupta recommends mag taurate but more expensive and mag cit fine for me.

Hope it works as well for you.

I take Magnesium citrate.

The suggested dose for AF is the amount just short of rushing to the loo. For me that’s 800-900mg a day.

If you start at 400-500mg and increase daily until you find the dose to suit you.

Excess magnesium is ‘moved’ out of your body and we all have different dose requirements. You will know your dose when you get there.

I too think it’s a miracle. So pleased I discovered it. I’ve taken it for 5 years now.

I take Mg Taurate from Cardiovascular Research (on Amazon). This is on the recommendation of Dr Sanjay Gupta, York Cardiology. He has a number of YouTube videos about Magnesium if you want to look them up.

Citrate for me.

Citrate. 400 mg/day so far, but am going to up it once my digestive state has settled out.... I am now virtually sure I have a lactose intolerance, as of last night's pizza "test" (mozzarella), so once that's settled back and I can hopefully cut back on the gaviscon too, then Mg++ for me.

Well most anti acids are made up with mag.

Are you saying that they are a good source of magnesium?

Not a good source in that sense if the word, but they do contain magnesium

I take Magnesium Taurate for the last three weeks. I notice my blood circulation is much better. Also, my night cramps, feeling vomiting and feeling dizziness when standing up were gone. I take 375mg per day.

I was frowned upon by my cardiologist for self medicating mag,,,,so once my irreg heart corrected it’s self, I was on bisoprolol, I weaned myself off, btw it wasn’t af, I was in multifocal ectopic, started on rich mag foods, then past few months one tab of mag, at night, my brov is in af but has renal disease so cant take mag. As it’s cleared by the kidneys

fallingtopieces in reply toHertbeat321

The thing with ‘magnesium rich food’ is that there isn’t the magnesium at the traditional strengths in the soil anymore. Soil now has low levels of magnesium to absorb into the food grown on it.

You can’t rely on food anymore. Which is why deficiency is normal these days.

Hi pat, there’s a lot of truth in that but I made myself , wasn’t hard,,eat water melon every day, I’m sure it helped settle my ectopics and I eat clean anyway don’t smoke, but did like 2 glasses of wine a night, cut back now,,,and after living in the Middle East for many years I drink loads of water.

I’m a huge fan of anything anti inflammatory the cardiologist from York, agrees to I take turmeric paste made up by my self following a recipe from Australia by a vet who started it on animals and of course humans, by his research on it,

We can only do our best, x

My EP was interested in my magnesium success and said he knew other people reported the same but neither endorsed nor condemned it.

I also take turmeric, plus celery seed and montmorency cherry.

The Celery Seed worked a miracle on my arthritic big toe joints. Visibly took the inflammation away overnight with the first dose.

It won’t let me post a copy here, bear with me,

Alternatively if you search the turmeric users group, and you must see that it all kinda comes from this great vet in Aussie, you ask to join, it’s maned by medical volunteers,

Basically it’s turmeric, gently heated with water. For aRound 7 mins, then leave to cool add coconut oil and freshly grounded black pepper. As that gives you the active ingredient perperine this allows great adsorption of the turmeric. Please wear gloves. Over your work tops with paper. Now I take a piping bag and either spot a blob on grease proof paper or you can get mould to pop it into, most them freeze them and pop one out, in the morning to add to your coffee, there’s loads of ways to take it, I don’t mind the taste, in the eve I add mine to say a stir fry, hubby hates the taste. So I purchased the Togo bars from the vet doug English. Made for humans, with fruit and chocolate, one bar is split into 10 bits hubby as one in the morn and one eve, turmeric does interact with some drugs you just tell the admins what your on. They are very good, it is a slight blood thinner much like garlic, we Are advised just to run it by our docs to make sure it’s ok, but my brov with af & on the New Anticoagulant. Is a huge fan of curry, and turmeric, pepper, is the main ingredients isn’t it because it’s all food, that we make the golden paste from, that’s what it is called or GP for short, having said all that, I buy my turmeric etc from the golden paste company in Harrogate, search that, you’ll see the recipe card on their web site, and they sell it ready made,,,in a squeezey bag , sorry for long reply. It’s really eased my knee joint thumb and I had a carpal tunnel coming muchimproved, but I do follow an anti inflammatory diet too, please feel free to ask me anything , 🤣 jean

Interesting about renal disease...I have stage 3 ckd and have been told by GPA that excess of any drug vit or mineral supplements mean more work for the kidneys which is not good news ....so told little of most things so they hopefully are absorbed with little additional work got kidneys

I LEARNED OF THIS GREAT MAGNEIUM MADE BY A MD WHO IS PART OF THE HEART RYTHM SOCIETY, SAME AS MY EP IS..

rnareset.com/products/remag...

STUDY THIS WELL THERE ARE E BOOKS ON WHY THIS IS SO IMPORTANT

I, too, am following Dr. Dean's RnA ReSet program, taking the ReMag and ReMyte, etc. I noticed an improvement after the first 30 days of using the product, but I fell away for a couple of months (due to traveling abroad and I didn't want to pack all of that stuff!). I am resuming the regimen as soon as my next shipment of product arrives.

Dr. Dean provides a wealth of free information on her website and you can subscribe to her updates. She and Dr. Sanjay Gupta are Godsends, in my opinion. Without their advice, I would never have dreamed my AF could be linked to what I eat and drink. I'm certainly not getting this info from my cardiologist.

You have just MOTIVATED me to get back to studying her materials more and more---she has TONS of good info and SHE is how I found MY awesome EP--as I wanted an EP that had the EXTRA training that someone who is a member of the Heart Rythm Society has...google.com/search?q=heart+r...

and I need to re-order my RE Mag soon and I might study that ReMyter you take----I ran out of the ReMag --which I like better than Tablets---it being a liquid and all....LIQUID products are absorbed the best...

I take magnesium "clysarate". I know its not spelled correctly. 1000mg daily for the past 2 weeks.

Magnesium TAURATE.

Just as important as the magnesium is TAURINE. Do your homework on taurine and it's role in your heart's electrical system. Read what Dr. Jack Kruse has to say about AFIB and HYDRATION. Also, read Dr. Guy Schenker's take on AFIB as well. And research the role EMF exposure may play in disrupting your electrical systems.

Magnesium

Taurine

Hydration

Potassium

Be well.

Thank you

Hi Linda it is important not to take if you have any kidney problem or at least take a small dose. About six weeks ago I asked the same question to Dr Gupta himself as I do have impaired kidney function he suggested I could try magnesium oil which I duly ordered. ( Ancient Minerals ) I spray on every morning after shower. I have been absolutely stunned at the difference it has made to my AF attacks that were happening every other day ruining my life. Have had one small attack in six weeks and as a bonus it seems to have helped my joint pains.

I spray on Magnesium Chloride (natural part of DermaMag), calculated 600mg/day, based on weight, sex and activity level. Overheard a doctor talking about it. It had stopped his AF and it stopped mine. It is absorbed through skin and so there’s no stomach upset. My electrocardiologist is impressed, didn’t know about it and allows me to continue. Cancelled plans for an ablation. Four years now. Theories are that modern factory farming and water filtering/treatment means we no longer get natural magnesium. Magnesium pills via stomach are only partially absorbed and cause stomach probs. The spray is more fully absorbed with no negative effects and you can take dose that meets full daily requirements. Just Google DermaMag. Peter.
