There isn't one. Just be aware that if you take too much you may get the runs.

Hi Mazza,

Why not get your magnesium through food rather than tablets. See NHS website.

Hi Mazza,

Judging by your reply, you have had a some sort of magnesium test.

Hopefully members of the forum who know a lot more about magnesium than I do might be able to help.

Best Wishes

Barry

Good idea, eat some almonds, when you've got A F you take enough tablets with out taking magnesium, if magnesium got rid of my A F would take it, but it wont, good luck

I have taken Magnesuim Taurate for 12 months, and from experience, only with food and a cold drink.

Taken on an empty stomach with a hot drink to melt the capsule quickly you can get smoke out of you mouth and it is uncomfortable. Hope this help. Regards Nigel G

Hi Mazza, Dr.Carolyn dean has written a book on afib and magnesium. i think you may find it at amazon, or ,possibly your local library. She also has a supplement called REmag that she sells.Best wishes! Claudia

I take Nutri Ultra Muscleze (an Mg compound professionally recommended) with cold water and food. If you find MG taken orally makes your stomach sore you can use spray on e.g. Ancient Minerals ultra Mg oil.

I take mine with my breakfast, seems to be fine...

I take magnesium citrate..Solgar...with breakfast.Had it for about a year and it really perked up my energy after only a couple of weeks.I originally took it to help with heart pumping.I think taking a smaller dose rather than overdoing it is important.

As with most nutrients and vitamins the government RDAs are the minimum usually to prevent severe ill health (ie Vitamin D RDA is the advised level to prevent Ricketts). There is usually a level higher than this at which there 'might' be therapeutic benefit. The point is that you may not get enough, consistently form food to be of benefit. I guess most people on this forum have been advised to take Magnesium supplements . On a different note, there are different ways to take it and different ways it is absorbed by the body.
