Yes I can identify with those symptoms. Interestingly I take ranitidine too and wondered long and hard if that was a cause. Mentioned it to GP who took extensive blood tests and found I was very low in folic acid. Been on folic acid supplements for seven weeks now and exhaustion has lessened.

I had had loads of blood tests too and all came back fine it was only when I consulted another GP who was very thorough and she checked specifically for more things and it showedfolic acid issue. Hope you feel better soon as the exhaustion is awful.

Hi cattell1

Just wondering if you also take an anti coagulant for your AF as you say you take naproxen for your arthritis.

Hope you feel better soon.Take care

I know how you feel with the lethargy, I take 80mg Sotalol twice a day and wasn't too bad but then had to increase from a low dose Ramipril to max dose for high BP and I was wiped out. I wonder if its a combination thing, mixing drugs. Slowly reducing Ramipril and feeling a bit better.

Goor luck with sorting it it

When I was taking sotalol I felt tired. Extremely tired. I no longer have to take Sotalol since my Ablation back in June. However, I'm still tired not as bad as I was when taking Sotalol. I still take Eliquis twice a day and I think that contributes to my fatigue too???

I totally sympathise with you, I take Tramadol, 2 different strengths with Paracetamol for osteoarthritis in my spine and knees ( have had both hips replaced) and along with my AF meds, if I sit down for 10 minutes I start to nod off. I seem to spend most of my life asleep now. I started taking Magnesium which has helped when I am up and about but the minute I sit or concentrate on a book, I am out like a light. It is completely taking over my life. My GP has suggested injections in my spine but I am not quite ready to allow that, fear stops me. I'm not sure what to do now as I've tried cutting down the Tramadol but cannot stand the pain. Its a vicious circle and quite depressing. Sorry I'm not any help.

I too am on painkillers as well as the AF drugs I stopped Bisoprolol because the doctor thought that might be the cause of my exhaustion. I think though it's due to the painkillers but I for one couldn't function without those. So I continue exhausted. I do find it helps to have plenty of catnaps in between chores.

Naproxen nearly killed me in April. The toxins in the tablet leaked out into my kidneys and I only had 14% function they told me if I hadn't gone too hospital when I did I would have been dead in a couple of days.....Please be wary of this medication if you have been on Naproxen for a long time.....
