2 years ago I had a cyroablation for Arrythmia all went well and I was told to stop my metoprolol as well as my blood pressure mess. Currently I am still on blood thinners as a precaution but I will probably be told to stop that soon as well.
Recently about two weeks ago I began having some skipped beats. I noticed this was happening when I would get too hot. We have been having very warm weather lately. I would get them after working outside on the deck on hot days.
Had anyone had this experience? I also notice them happening when I get excited or stressed. My nurse said it can be caused by adrenalin or extra stimulation like caffeine, some meds. and even big meals.
I'll be getting a holter monitor next week to see if I can capture any of the skipped beats. I went to the er during my last episode because I wanted to have an ECG to capture the heart Rhythms but the machine only takes a 12 second snapshot so they missed it. I had blood work done and all my levels including potassium and thyroid we're fine. The ER doctor said that my heart was fine and that it was probably just due to some extra stimulus.
It's been happening for the last couple of days on and off so I'd like to get to the bottom of it if possible.
If any of you have had similar experiences I'd like to hear how they turned out. My guess is that I may have to return to some type of medication to control it.
