Skipped beats are back

I thought the solution for the skipped beats was going to be the breathing technique. It did work for a while, but now I am right back where I was. Went back to flecianide, didn't work and I developed spots in my vision. Am trying magnesium, fingers crossed. 4 months post ablation and feeling frustrated!!

Sadly ectopics are very often part of being in our club.

Dr Sanjay Gupta’s recent video addresses the issue. He has also done other videos of the subject previously. A link was posted a few days ago.

They are not pleasant I agree, I get them every day. You may eventually find a way to tolerate them when you can accept that in the vast majority of cases they are benign.

What is your daily dosage of the flecainide that it has given you spots in your vision?

KMRobbo I was taking 50 mg twice a day. Doesn't sound like much but I have always been hyper sensitve to Meds. Am trying the magnesium now, pray it works. Thanks for replying.

Yep I had quite a few ectopic beats that got me worried after my ablation in May, the more I worried the worse they got, I have been taking magnesium turate for about 3 months and I might get the odd one or two now and then but the difference is amazing for me.

Hope things settle down for you soon.

I have started magnesium too. Pray it works as well for me. Thanks for your reply. It really helps to hear from others who are experiencing the same thing. Thank you!

I have spots in my vision from flecanaide too, however, the flecanaide has controlled my afib since April so I will put up with the spots for now. I see my eye doctor on Feb 1 and will see what he says about my eyes. I take 100 mg two times per day.

Wish I could tolerate the spots, but I am the only driver for our household and the other day I had to pull off the road and wait a bit. Will be interested in what your doctor says about your eyes. Thank you for replying!!

Hi Blondies

What sort and how much magnesium have you started to take? Keep us posted on its effectiveness, thanks. Missy

Missyf323, I am taking magnesium citrate 250 mg. It's only been about a week consistently . So far not much difference but maybe I just haven't been taking it long enough. Good luck to you!
