Extra beats
The whole point of having ablation is to come off meds (apart from warfarin of course.) Stopping drugs will often produce some odd rhythms for a while till your heart settles down to the new regime. Extra beats or ectopics are quite normal and you will get used to them and they will subside. Everybody has them normally but we AFers are too darned sensitive to our tickers.
Triggers wont be triggers if you don't have AF but I wouldn't start looking for problems right now till you stabilise.

I get more than normal ectopics duckpopper and red wine (or any alcohol) would trigger them for me, so I've gone tee-total. Different situation because I haven't just had an ablation. I guess the only way to find out is not have a drink ...... sorry .
On the other hand, if you stop and still get the ectopics then you can have another glass .

Hi duck popper I still have odd beats, usually at night or early morning, had ablation in March. Usually have little runs of tachycardia for about 30 seconds with occasional ectopics. I stopped Biso about 6 weeks ago and has made no difference ie no worse, no better. Red wine on the other hand is a no, no for me, definite trigger and I start coughing and then the tachy runs become more frequent.
I can recommend Sainsbury's alcohol-free red wine duckpopper. It's a bit funny at first, but after a while it tastes like wine. I drink most of a bottle a night. I have to explain to all the neighbours what all the bottles outside are, before they start chatting !
