Just had my telephone follow up with the cardiology specialist nurse - I've been improving week by week following the ablation procedure in February - and on the whole it's been a success - well almost as the ECG I had last week showed AFib - which I was disappointed to hear - something to do with the fact I'd rushed to the surgery hot and bothered with a full on case of ' white coat syndrome ' accompanying me! So instead of Sinus Tachycardia good old AF came a visiting!
The outcome being that I'm to have a 5 day loop ECG at some point in near future. As I'm not symptomatic generally I don't need any meds adding to Apixaban hooray - I do not do well on meds. I've a sneaking feeling that I may be in need of a 2nd ablation at some point but hey ho ' that's a thought and not a fact' ! Cathy

Hi Cathy, not sure if this will help, but I had a couple of short AF episodes immediately after my 6 month review. It's possible that this was because I had just stopped taking my daily dose of flecainide as instructed. As far as I am aware, I have not had had any AF since, and I'm due to have my 12 month review in just under a month. I have literally just removed the monitor for a 5 day ECG, but this was arranged during my 6 month review, which was, of course, before the AF episodes. Hopefully, its not going to be a problem for you, but I like your positive spirit.....fingers crossed for both of us eh!!!......John
