I am not medically trained but I would think because you take eltroxin that you had an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism)? If so,nthis drug would 'speed up' the thyroid - hence the weight loss? Don't know the exact mechanism but I guess you could used Dr Google if you wanted the ins and outs.
Have you AF as a result?
