Yes I will be there. I think Bob is organizing a meet up meal again so I expect he will be asking who would like a place booking before too long. Look forward to seeing you there. X

If you go on the AFA website there is information about lectures that will be presented on Patients Day. If you scroll down this thread of messages AFA have put a link that will take you straight through to information. Hope this is helpful.

Look forward to meeting up. Where will you be staying? I have left it late to book, but think I will stay somewhere close to the ICC.

I am staying at the canal side premier in. Do you mean you have left it too late to book a hotel or the conference?

Booked the conference and managed to book a room last night - if I can go next year will book hotel sooner as options very limited at this stage! My fault though!

Well the price at the premier Inn is the same now as it was in May.

Thanks Peter, when I checked the 8th was fully booked. Train from London only gets in at 10.17 and seems to be the earliest available and I don't want to miss the first part. I have booked now and will enjoy my deluxe room!

Look forward to meeting up. I enjoyed meeting other people last year and learnt a lot from the conference.

Where is it being held and in what day?

Bryonny, I always organise the Pink Carnation Supper each Saturday evening before the conference. Been doing it now for 8 years. I am booked at Hyatt Regency which is connected to ICC by a bridge but it is eye wateringly expensive. The food there is what Beancounter defines as "Interesting" but unless you know of another restaurant in Brum nearby who can take a party of ten or so that is what we are stuck with.

I shall be taking numbers nearer the time.

Consider yourself booked

Bob

Oh no, I'm on holiday, living in the suburbs of brum that would have been great, you are on broad Street where there are dozens of great restaurants by the canal, check them out, good food in abundance

I'm about to try to book at Premier Inn for the 8th as I have to travel from Oxford. Healthwise I'm not totally sure I'm going to be able to make it but, fingers crossed, I'd certainly like to meet up to eat and will contact Bob when he is ready to arrange.

Apparently if you go with someone from Friends of AF association the cost for attending is £35 for the day. Any chance of meeting someone from this association so I can save myself £15...Thanks
