I would very much like to attend the conference in October. I cannot imagine why anyone who was able to attend would not wish to attend. It is the patient's opportunity to ask questions and listen to the experts on what is happening in the AF world. Put my name down please.

AF Conference
There will be booking forms out soon I have no doubt. I think the post was a survey to judge attendance as it is always over subscribed.
I would like to attend but the cost would be prohibitive as I live in Canada. Do you know if they are streaming the event so that we can see the proceedings on line
Where speakers agree, the transcripts of presentations are often posted on AF Association website following the conference but no live streaming exists at this time.
One drawback to attendance for those people travelling from London is that the sessions always start before the first train from London arrives and not everyone is in a position to stay overnight. I'm hoping that this year might be different!
Unless we start at 10 am there just isn't time for all the presentations and discussion groups before we need to finish at 4.PM We always end up over running as it is and then many have to leave early to catch trains home. I live in North Devon (much further than London) and it is possible for me to do it there and back in a day by car although I never do. Beancounter has come up from London first thing and met me for breakfast so it is possible.
Do folks tend to stay over the night before or after the conference; or both?
Since we are all done by about 4.30 most go home afterwaards. One or two stay for the medical part in the week where they are also licensed medics. We usually have about ten for supper on Saturday evening although we have been as low as five on one occasion.
Hi Bob, my husband and I have in previous years when attending the conference, wandered round Birmingham looking for an appropriate place to eat. Would like to join you group if that is possible. If not anywhere you would recommend. Also do you have a favoured hotel. Thanks
We usually stay at Hyatt Regency as it is connected to ICC by a bridge. As Beancounter commented the food there is "interesting" and if we could find an alternative for dinner I'm sure most would prefer it. Very chique but small portions shall we say. Watch this space.
There is a Premier Inn in Bridge St just behind Hyatt I think.
