Well done to AF sufferer Chris Swailes who last week became the oldest goal scorer in a Wembley cup final. At the age of 45 and after a number of cardioversions and ablation Chris helped Morpeth Town to win the FA Vase.

What a fantastic achievement. It would be good to read his story. Well done Morpeth town.
Well done to Chris for his success despite having AF. Well done Morpeth. I would be so interested to hear Chris' story.
Excellent, well done Chris and Morpeth!
Yes, splendid achievement, Well done!
Well done to Chris i love my football at 58 still playing cant hang my boots up either keep going mate
Well done that man, that's great to hear. Congrats to Morpeth Town too⚽️
After reading about Chris it appears he has had 3 cardioversions and some catheter work done. He must have made a full recovery as he would not be playing football. Gives a lot of AF sufferers hope!
Yes! Goldenslumbers there is lots of hope.
I've had 7 cardioversions and 1 ablation, and did my 6th Cape Town Cycle Tour of 109km this March.

I'm in permanent AF, play badminton, table tennis, cycle and have today walked up Pilsden Pen in Dorset. Total walking distance today, 8 miles. Yes, tough going but mind over matter. Incidentally, I have had 2 ablations and one cardio version, all to no avail. Age ? Let's just say past my 3 score years and 10.
I accept its different for everybody but you can live well and actively with this condition. Don't give into it !
That's great mycallc you sound very active! .....like you, I too have had 2 ablations and 2 cardioversions. Last ablation was 17th May 2016 so 2 weeks post ablation and still in AF however, I did have 4 days in NSR so still early days I'm told!
Keep well
