Is it possible to maintain a healthy rythmn through bios or other beta blockers without ablation. Not sure when I've seen posts they've just managed to maintain it through medication or they've had the procedure too.

Yes it is possible. So much depends on the type of AF / where the rogue signals come from / other health issues.

Thank you. Low dose of bios at the moment so fingers crossed it can be controlled. 😊

Sadly A F is almost always progressive so while you may be able to maintain a status quo for a while with life style changes and drugs this is not guaranteed. Ablation stands the best chance of quality of life improvement for sure but may need multiple procedures. We are all different so there is no right or wrong answer.

I'd just like to say, I have had AF for 10 years now and following 2 failed ablations and one cardioversion I am in permanent AF.

HOWEVER, I feel better now than ever I did with this condition and manage a fair bit of hard physical exercise (Badminton for 2 hours tomorrow). Possibly I, or my body, have just learned to cope. I take Bisoprolol only apart from statins and, of course, Warfarin.

So, stay positive. the future need not be faced with trepidation of a worsening health or life-style.

Thank you. That sounds promising. Glad you are doing well and being active. I am normally out and about but feel a little light headed after starting my bios on Sunday. I will be back on track once I get used to them. 24hr monitor tomorrow. One a plus note my pulse has dropped to low 70s from 100 plus.

Thanks for your input. Getting some good advice and support on here 😊
