Cough: Has anyone developed a cough... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Cough
Yes, mine started the day after my Ablation. I have been told it will go within 5-9 months, 3 months and counting. It may be something to do with the ? vagus/vagel nerve.
Buggar I still have to have the Ablation maybe seeing as I have the cough the Ablation will work in reverse and take the cough away can live in hope
I too have had a cough since cardioversion. As I was then put on Amiodarone which can cause lung problems I wondered if that was the cause. Was your medication changed after the cardioversion?
There is something called phrenic nerve injury that causes coughing, could google to see if it pertains to you
You learn something new every day could be worth a look as I had 9 lt of fluid drained initially thank you for your reply
Dear Mazza23
I had my cough as soon as I had a problem with fluid on the lungs. I had a cardioversion and am still coughing. I wondered if this meant there was still fluid on my lungs. I didn't have it drained off - was given a diuretic intravenously. Do you still have any fluid?
I had a chest X-ray chest is clear I am on two different diuretics a day doc doesn't think it is the phrenic nerve so an other mystery and ii have been taking the same meds for 20 months and it only started after CV I am having a CT scan of heart ,chest ect next week so will see what that turns up
