I've had A/F a couple of years now, ( I'm 71) never had any symptoms, found out by chance by going for a pre op for removal of a cyst. I'm on Warfarin, Bisoprolol, Ramipril & Simvastatin. I have a bit of a cough, never smoked only had this since being on the tablets, any one else had this.

Hi Kenda. I had an annoying little cough when I was taking Lisinopril. I mentioned it to my GP and he said "Ah, yes" and changed me to Losartan and the cough went away. Is a cough a known side effect of Ramipril?

My GP warned me that a dry cough was a side effect of the Ramipril she was prescribing and suggested that if this was the case I should return to her for a medication change.. Funnily enough I was OK on it for a few months but have recently developed a dry cough too!

Hi, I had a cough when I took Ramipril. So did my sister. I think it is listed as a side effect.

I was on Ramapril and a dry cough developed after a few doses, changed to Candesarten , the cough has been reluctant to go! now over a month, three visits to the docs about it, and another tonight, cough sometimes get very severe causing a head pain. I have had one of those summer colds during this period so that may not have helped
