Hello all

Can RIvaoxaban give you back and abdomonal pains.

Just over Six weeks since ablation but i cannot seem to shrug off these pains and still quite breathless.

20mg RIvaoxaban and 2.5mg of BIsoprolol so not an excessive amount.

Any ideas!!!!!

Hi Mick, Does the Rivaoxaban leaflet show these symptoms as side effects. Perhaps your body is still reeling from being kicked about during your ablation. You have been through an intensive procedure perhaps your body is not forgiving you yet for the onslaught on it.

If it does not settle I would ask my medics after the easter break.

Take care

Dee

I started taking 20mg of Rivaroxaban about 2/3 months before adding Flecainide and Bisoprolol so I think I had a clear picture about it's possible side effects.

For me, I did not suffer any side effects that I was aware of and no problem with lengthy or excessive bleeding. Perhaps your symptons are a result of the ablation.

I had to stop Rivaroxaban after 3 weeks as it give me very bad diarrhoea, stopped for 5 days and diarrhoea went away. Dr then put me on Apixaban which I have been on for over 3 weeks without problems. If you think it is the Rivaroxaban maybe you should discuss with your Dr about change to Apixaban, all the best.

Hi Mick,

I changed from Warfarin to Rivaroxaban middle of last year and had no side effects, think Dee has a point regarding your ablation its a very invasive prodedure took me three months to get over it.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Mick

Today my haem consultant suggested I come off rivaoxaban 20mg immediately. I agreed as I was having disturbing headaches. I am back on warfarin plus clexane for a few days. you mentioned aches. For the last 24hrs I am having a windy pain in groin/hip area. I didn't think it was RX but we will see. Hope this helps.
