Hi! After just having had a very successful hip replacement op. 2 weeks ago, at the Chapel Allerton hospital in Leeds, my surgeon has taken me off Naproxen which I've taken for the past 2 years prior to the op. because of the clash with Rivaroxaban, does anyone know of any other anti-inflammatory which will be safe to take? I will be having a chat later this morning with our local pharmacist, and will report back with any suitable update.
Does anyone know of any anti-inflamma... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Does anyone know of any anti-inflammatory safe to take with Rivaroxaban?
I now I was told no more naproxen, I was basically a naproxen junkie for pain, I believe it thins your blood, as I would bruise very easily taking it, more in fact than I do on rivaroxaban. But I was pain free....interested in seeing what you find out as my ankles and knees are killing me....but I just put up with the pain as the ibuprofen does nothing.
I had a hip replacement in September and all was well for 4 months and then I developed bursitis. The pain is awful but I am told it may just go away again! If it does not then I will have a cortisone injection (how long do I wait - been nearly 5 mths now) But cannot take any anti inflammatories as I was on warfarin and now on dabigatran. I will be very interested to hear what your pharmacist has to say Rayner. PS lovely pic!
