Rivaroxaban safe with any runny nose drug?

Hi, new to this! I am taking Rivaroxaban for life due to AF. I had the flu jab last November but now I have a very bad streaming nose cold that I would like to get rid of asap as already suffering bad depression at the moment too? Any advice what I can safely take to he rid of runny nose please? 😢X

Yes, I've spoken to him today. He says no medication , just to inhale menthol in hot water, to open sinuses. X

Hi Mary a runny nose is annoying but I look up on it as my body's reactions to an infection and a way of helping me to fight it . Rather than trying to 'get rid ' of things I aim to help them along their natural course.

I drink lots, home made ginger and lemon is my first choice or you can buy Rock's Organic Ginger cordial from supermarkets and health stores and add a squeeze of lemon juice and hot water. Its warming and soothing. Some people don't like ginger I know or worry about taking it with medication but I use it a lot.

I would also use an inhalation of Olbas Oil. Most AF's can take paracetamol to help with any aches and pains too.

Thank you, there's a lot of people in our Village with this dreaded cold/chesty cough and sneezes, think it just passes round and round. .it hangs on for weeks for some people..Will try inhaling and see if that helps open up the sinuses and clear them out! Fingers crossed 😉 x

i had this too plus indiscriminate sneezing suspect allergy? was given nasal spray .often its interaction of medication soyour hunch could be right especially with the flu jab.Sometimes one has to weigh the good against the bad.
