Rivaroxaban, painkillers ?.

Can anyone tell me what pain killers they take when taking Rivaroxaban,my doctor is telling me he will not prescribe pain killers when using rivaroxaban.I use p/killers for gout and muscular pains.

I am also on rivaroxaban and take occasionally paracetamol. I understand that non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs are not allowed, like ibuprofen, disclofenac, due to the risk of bleeding

I've heard that cherries are very good for gout in any form. About 8 a day tinned or fresh, drink or whole. Worth a try?

I take Cocodamol for back and leg pains and they do a reasonable job. My GP was happy for me to take them and I use them as sparingly as possible.

My GP prescribed tramadol for back pain - I'm on warfarin.

I have AF and had 1 ablation waiting for 2nd one, also have the usual drugs warfarin bisoprolol,lasartan , I also have tremendous bouts of gout , and used to take arcoxia for inflation and pain until I started warfarin , now it's just Regular pain killers co codamol middle strength now and they don't touch the gout at all . Diet and weight loss sort of help and cherries and cherry juice work well. Just good luck and carry on

I have had AF for about 15 years, and taken quite a few different medications, including Bisoprolol for about 10 years. About six months ago the Bisoprolol doseage was increased to try and control ectopic beats. I am now on 5mg per day. The result of this was a massive increase in my Gout attacks. I am about to go to a new Cardiologist and he is going to prescribe some alternative medication that will not cause the Gout. At the moment I am trying Allopurinol , but it is taking some time to kick in, I may be able to give it up eventually when I come off the Bisoprolol. I have always found the best painkiller for Gout is Colchesine, but taken in small doses, I am on Apixaban anticoagulant and it seems OK with the Colchesine according to my GP. I hope this info will help.

I also take rivaroxaban and was told by my cardio to take Tylenol or its generic version - no NSAIDS.
