I'm having pain with fever since yesterday , hard to swallow and body ache , I'm already on antibiotic and paracetamol , ectopic beats are so annoying , I wonder if there is a link between infection and heart rhythm

I had an ablation a few months ago at the end of June. As I'd stopped taking warfarin, thinking the ablation had cured my AF, I've now got to be taking it for 4 weeks before they will do the cardioversion. I hate this waiting! I'm off to the hospital to have another ECG this morning, last Wednesday one showed my pulse at 125. There's not a lot they can do to stop it racing right now as I'm taking amiodarone, digoxin and metoprolol which have brought my pulse down to 125.
Is your a ECG showing a flutter again ? The same problem before your ablation ? What was the EP clarification for your case
What was the method of your ablation ? Since my doctor informed me that cryoablation will treat the flutter for sometime only then it will be back again
You know I had my ablation in August , and no flutter showed in EKG , didn't stop the warfarin at all since I have also mechanical valve , but I'm having frequent episodes recorded few times as junctional tachycardia heart rate 110 for no longer than an hour then back to normal after having another dose of sotalol
I'm planning to come to UK for the second ablation if I'm not better within 4 more months ( 6 months from ablation )
Praying for you to just wake up again with calm heart
Hi Maitha, In my experience "yes" there is a definite connection. My first diagnoses came after I had a Urinary infection, the 2nd came after I had a very bad cold and soar throat. It seems as if your body's immune system is low. Antibiotics cleared these two infections.
