did i need to worry so much
Sorry to hear you were back in AF and potentially need further intervention. Let's hope the heart monitor gives some clues to how to handle the situation. I know how despondent we can get at these times.
Take care and be good to yourself. Have a few treats.
Regards
Dee.
Knowing is always better than worrying. AF is a long journey I'm afraid. I share you disappointment as I went through three ablations and three cardioversions before they got me right. (plus one fake one I did for a film about it once.)
Hi Poppy - I'm afraid we AF people can't help but worry, we know it doesn't help but not knowing what's happening when our hearts play up sends all sorts of crazy things through our minds.
I'm glad you went to be checked and that they are fitting you with a heart monitor, just sorry that you feel a little disappointed with the cardioversion outcome.
Hope you are soon well.
Jean
I am sorry that you are having issues again. I had my ablation done 6 months ago and finally have had no episodes in that whole period. They just took me off of all heart meds and I think that has caused my heart to skip a beat here and there. Not fun when you panic and I do panic. I think that the heart meds were a crutch, but, I had no skipped beats and it corrected much quicker when I was on them. I am on a heart monitor now so that they can see how I am doing without the meds. You might be doing better than you think. I am anxious to see what my results are and when I find out I will share them. Good luck and try not to worry. Easier said than done. Take care, Michelle
hi poppystorey I went into AF about six years ago, ended in hospital 5 times and it wasn't untill I saw a card consultant that told me that I suffer from AF. he put me on a monitor for 48 hours and had to keep a diary what I did during the time on moniture. had no props. had 4 cv in last 5 years. I am lucky that I go into AF every year around about march : I was told by my doctor last year not to have flu jab and just take my prescibed medication as normal so far I am okay and have had no proplems. I go on holiday quiet often at least three times yearly and I never let it get me down. I hope everthing works out for you, just take it easy and you should be okay
best wishes
