IWarfarin intolerance.

I was having a big problem finding a blood thinner that i could tolerate, warfarin was a nightmare for me, I developed a terrible rash, itching and it gave me very bad pain in my joints, especially in my shoulders. I have now been taking this medication for two months and feel like I have my life back. For anyone who is having any of these symptoms I would strongly recommend that you consult your GP about this medication.

Hi - It's good to hear that you have found a solution to your warfarin intolerance. What medication are you taking now?

Hi jeanjeanie, I`m now taking Pradaxa it is a medicine which contains the active substance dabigatran etexilate. It works by blocking a substance in the body which is involved in blood clot formation. I feel well again and love the fact that I don`t have to keep going to have my INR checked.

Hi skary, I`m now taking Pradaxa, I feel great. I actually found out about this medication on the web and when I ask my GP if I could try it, he thought it was a good idea, which makes me wonder why he didn`t suggest it previously, but it doesn`t matter because I have now been taking it for about two months and I feel really good.

Warfarin made my hair to start falling out and I felt terrible and tired all the time. I was changed to Pradxa and now feel great. It also beets having to go each week as I was for an INR.

Hi stokenorth, I agree with what you say, no more INR readings, I hope things keep going well for you.
