Lupron first 2 shots reduced PSA from 300 to 40, but test after 3rd shot showed increase to 42.5.

oncologist willing to start me on abiraterone (and prednisone) rather than wait another month for another test

Good idea? Once I start abiraterone, is it forever?

Your cancer will become resistant to abiraterone after a few years. but it delays progression while it works.

your oncologist should be having your T levels tested. Mine was 13 on Lupron alone and undectable when abiraterone was added. My psa started to climb again after 6 months on abi so prednisone was stopped abd dexamethasone added. My starting psa was 5664 and got down to 6 on lupron and 1 on abi befoer starting to rise again.

Hi 6251. I did Zytiga with prednisone and got very ill after 3 months. It destroyed my potassium, kidneys to some degree and who knows what else. I'm still having blood/sugar problems and hytpertension. I'm very much into fitness and never had hypertension until abir and pred. It took 3 difficult weeks to get my adrenals back. I still get tired after a workout. I am now on Ivermectin and fenbendazole. PSA is coming down (0.7 last measurement). I had several small carcinomas on my scalp. They are mostly gone. You might want to check out: fenbendazole.org and mycancerstory.rocks. Being a broken survivor of abiraterone and prednisone, I would recommend you join these groups and try fenben and iver before getting on abiraterone. You can get fenben from Sanare Labs via Amazon.com. There are several suppliers of Ivermectin. You can get that info on these groups.
