combination drug Olaparib and Abiraterone

Yes, my dad who is BRCA2 +ve was given the same combination till Olaparib was effective. I think this is due to some recent study which shows synergestic effect between olaparib and abiraterone
Hello,
what is current PSA of your dad, what about his lung mets, ...? Please update the bio of your dad - last update is from end of 2023.
Is abiraterone still working?
My husband has been on abiraterone and 5 mg prednisone (plus eligarde injections every three months). He had a brief (20 sessions) very localized radiation treatment as well in October. He has done well so far--but they did start him on 10 mg of prednisone, which seemed to cause hypotension. He is planning to go on a brief break from the abiraterone. His PSA is now undetectable (from 53 in Jan. 2023). He was diagnosed with metastatic PC in January 2023 through a PSMA Pet Scan. His Gleason score was 3/3 in October 2023. He was diagnosed at 79 and has some other conditions, which has made the doctors be quite cautious, I believe.
My husband added Olaparib to Abi and Prednisone in March 2024 when Abi started to fail. You can check profile for details on his journey. So far so good.
