"88% of people have been shown to be seriously deficient in iodine on cancer diagnosis"
" Iodine is concentrated in the prostate and is linked to the health of the organ according to the Canadian study. There were 29% less prostate cases in the group with high iodine, when compared with those men with low iodine."
"Research has shown that prostate cancer cells take up iodine easily and it can cause apoptosis.'
I am NOT arguing the point you are making but your post is selling a product not providing real science to support it. Do you have any scientific research to support iodine as a way to fight prostrate cancer.
I realize that iodine supplementation ads might be biased in their statements. However, I feel there is a sort of reluctance of those in the cancer pharmaceutical industry to support research which does not benefit them financially, Call it a conspiracy theory, if you wish, or perhaps common financial strategy, but scientific research seems to always be lacking when financial benefit is not there. My feeling is that prostate cancer patients are therefore denied the information that they need to cure their disease. The cure may be simply swept under the rug, to the benefit of drug manufacturers.
Is iodine deficiency a factor in fighting prostate cancer?

Iodine deficiency has not been directly linked to prostate cancer in clinical research, but there are some studies that suggest iodine may have a role in maintaining overall prostate health. Iodine is an essential trace element that supports thyroid function, and thyroid hormones regulate various biological processes, including cell growth and metabolism. Some studies have proposed that iodine could have a protective effect against certain types of cancer, including breast and prostate cancer, due to its role in regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis (programmed cell death).
However, the evidence linking iodine deficiency directly to prostate cancer is limited, and more research is needed to fully understand any potential connection. It's important to note that prostate cancer is influenced by a complex interplay of genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors.
Maintaining adequate iodine levels through diet (e.g., seafood, dairy products, and iodized salt) is important for overall health, but it should not be considered a sole preventive measure for prostate cancer. If you're concerned about prostate health, it's a good idea to talk to a healthcare provider for personalized advice.
I think that maybe more common today with the rise of modern sea salt, etc. Just yesterday I bought a container of iodized salt for like $.69. Since I do not use a lot of salt in my cooking it will probably last the rest of my life and maybe a heirloom someday.
Where I live it's $1.69 for non-iodized and $1.79 for iodized, but we are talking here about an ESSENTIAL nutrient, (necessary for immune system). You may get from seafood or seaweed. Or, 1/2 teaspoon per day is the requirement for iodized salt. Salt is added to a lot of processed foods and condiments, but is it IODIZED? Who knows?
