I'm on Lupron and Zytiga/Prednisone. So far very successful in dropping PSA levels to undetectable. With this comes the usual side effect of everything being quiet 'down there'.
Recently, I've had erections in the middle of the night. Just a couple over a period of a few weeks. Under normal circumstances, to be expected. While on doublet therapy, this was a surprise.
I'm not running to my doctor to check PSA or anything, but I was curious how this could happen with an undetectable PSA.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea how/why? Is it normal, or a problem?

Same here, although I am taking 5mg of Cialis daily. I was so worried I called my cancer nurse , who told me it’s nothing to worry about and to just enjoy it! Just came back out of nowhere, and now most nights, but there is considerable “shrinkage” , which I guess is from radiotherapy …it’s a great blessing and I feel very lucky, the only problem is finding the desire to do anything with it! …but I will take this small (🤣) win!!
I have had RP, 33 rounds of EBRT radiation and 24 months of leuprolide and 18 months of abiraterone. Shrinkage range is 30 - 40%, would be my guesstimate. I had no idea about this part of the journey. 🙁
Yes, 38 months and counting on leuprolide and enzalutamide…RT 24 months ago. I would say more like 50% loss for me, that and the loss of libido are the worst thing about all of this, the other side effects I can deal with.
Suggest ED meds. A study I was in provided 60mg three times a wk. Plus a penis pump. Got to keep the blood flowing. Know that you're probably not interested in sex at all but do your homework (e.g., masturbate) regularly. It will help.
Husband has T right now of 9 (!) yet still active with help of a daily 5mg Cialis and a half Viagra pill as needed. Sometimes uses a C-Trimix injection. You’re down but not out!!
I've been on ADT and Nubeqa for 14 months and can still get a full erection, although it requires more than a bit of stimulation from my wife first. I didn't have radiation or a prostatectomy, which I'm sure helps. (Did have a TURP, though.) T is about 15 and PSA is less than 0.1.
My wife tells me not to brag to the boys about this, but honestly, I think that she should be bragging to the girls!
I had one the other night...... and I jumped for joy in the morning until I found out my wife was putting starch in the laundry and it was just my pajama string...
