I was just told that I’ve been turned down for any active clinical trials. PC stopped responding to both Abiraterone and Xtandi so I will be starting Docetaxel tomorrow. Has anyone else been in this dilemma and still doing well? It’s

Thanks again, Talk_Allen. At times, I just wish I could wake up and this is all just a bad dream….but I know that all of us keep that tucked away somewhere. Thanks so much for keeping up on research and providing us with some hope. My Best, Jim

Sometimes there aren't trials, but options as well. If you are a supplement/extras guy, have a look at the research around those with docetaxel - fasting, annatto etc eg. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/335...

my husband started with taxotere, then did zytega. Both worked for over a year each. Then Xtandi which did not work at all. Back to taxotere, then did pluvicto. This year he started Jevtana. Was having good results until had to stop due to repeat visits to the ER/hospital for chronic radiation cystitis. He’s going to do hyperbaric oxygen treatments for 8 weeks, then will return to chemo. No idea if he will get good results again next year. He will be 72 soon. Has lost a lot of weight with cystitis and I can see his decline.

are you eligible for Pluvicto? It worked wonders for me.

He has to do at least 1 chemo treatment to qualify for Pluvicto. Doesn’t have to fail chemo or even do a whole cycle. Apparently the wording of the protocol is so minimal that any chemo treatment qualifies for Pluvicto.

I learned more after reading about the study that I was turned down for. After finding out the actual name of the study, I researched and the reason was that I didn’t meet the minimum criteria which included failing at least one type of chemotherapy and submission of recent tumor slides (within the last 12 months). I wished that our Care Teams would take more time to explain these types of things without having to look elsewhere for answers. It can be very nerve wracking, but at least I now know why. My Best to All.
