pretty much the same as everyone above But I discovered how to control the extended Nausea

Start Atavan and Zofran the day before your treatment and continue till you can get off gradually. For me it was 2 weeks. First treatment that I felt in control

Good Luck

Interesting.

I developed a vomiting issue before I started Pluvicto.

It became worse and recognized as cyclic vomiting syndrome later.

Hadn't heard of nausea with Pluvicto. I never made a connection while on Pluvitco and actually still cant when I think back but maybe the Pluvicto exacerbated the vomiting syndrome. Water under the bridge though lol.

Interesting. Pluvicto gave me (and still does) a very dry mouth and not much of an appetite.

Yes dry mouth. For me I just plain have no saliva production after my Pluvicto tx (but thankfully great results)You probably know that salivary gland damage is common. Apparently more to due with tissue inflammation at the gland (or of the glands themselves?)

Anyway looks like a procedure using a micro tube can be done to open up the gland passage (thanks TA, again).

My MO is still in the let's wait a bit more and see if the glands start producing again on their own posture. About 4 months since my last infusion now.

Thanks!! I didn’t know there was to help with the dry mouth. The other issues I had were gastrointestinal, I remember one night not getting off the toilet. I felt like I was prepping for a colonoscopy! Glad you had positive results!

Highlight:

Radiation-Induced Salivary Gland Damage

When a person is treated with radioactive iodine to address thyroid gland disease, the salivary glands can take up the radioactive iodine and be damaged by it. In some people, this inflammation ― radiosialadenditis ― is hard to resolve.

Eisele explains, “Patients can experience dry mouth and trouble eating, because the glands don't produce enough saliva. Narrowed ducts can cause stagnation of saliva. Sialendoscopy can dilate ducts and flush out debris, which gives most patients symptomatic relief.”

Chronic Salivary Gland Infection Sialendoscopy can also help manage a chronically inflamed salivary gland (sialadenitis) by dilating the ducts and irrigating the gland.

I just had another treatment with Lu-177. Infusion at about 1:00 p.m. and by 7p.m. started with urge to vomit every 1/2 hr. Not fun. The next day Dr. gave me infusion he makes up with, among other things, prednisone. Felt better almost immediately. He said that the reaction with this kind of nausea is not that common. Though it sounds from comments here that it might be quite common. He said next infusion of LU will be given with the anti nausea infusion. Have been drinking recommended 2 1/2 liters of water a day and not experiencing too much dry mouth-just drink more water when I feel it. No noticeable loss of sense of taste after infusions last year.
