Looking for new treatment

It looks like my current treatment of chemo is not doing the job.

First off, 🤫 it has been very rough on my blood counts especially platelets. The low platelet count has resulted in four weeks between infusions (carboplatin, Cabazitaxel).

Also, after 3 infusions my PSA is rising.

What combination treatment is still available???

My profile is up to date. Thank you!

Xofigo?

I assume that will be as damaging to my cells as the chemo has been. Hopefully I can tolerate it. Thank you for the suggestion.

Xofigo only affects rapidly growing bone metastases. There is no uptake in ordinary healthy bone.

Thank you for the suggestion. My oncologist said it is way to rough on my bone marrow which has been beaten up by chemo.

I didn’t know which way to turn if this is not an option. Maybe Keytruda but not sure if immune therapy is safe.

It is my personal opinion and also I would advise you to talk to a doctor.

- You did 3 infusions or maybe you can get 4th infusion and you may have a higher chance that xtandi or nubeqa works after chemo treatment or zytiga

- Are you fit to participate in clinical trials?

- Have you discussed about keytruda ?

- Agree with Tall_Allen for xofigo

Questions - How did you recover from SBRT radiations?

I’ve tried all three of those treatments. Xtandi work the best for me, 2 1/2 yrs before PSA moved upwards. Suggested to onc that we try it again but he didn’t agree. I did not get the next round of Carboplatin Cabazitaxel because of lab results. So I am out of treatment options with the local Cancer Center.

What's the wrong with lab results ?

Biggest concern is the Platelet count which falls into the 40s after chemo infusion. It takes5 weeks to get that count up to the 90s, which we would love to see higher. Also chemo combo wasn’t lowering PSA, which is in the upper 700s.

Do you have any physical pains ?

None that I attribute to my stage 4 mpc, Lower back had radiation on L3 and could use a bit more. But am very lucky having no pain.
