Here's a post from quite a while ago about pain - and at lot of replies. There are other big discussions how about pain and how confusing it can be non other threads too.
Here is my understanding: I was in the same boat a couple of months ago. I spent good money to find the difference.
I think You should still visit a doctor and confirm
If you have pain and if you try to sleep, sit or stand, or any body movement and pain reduces or no pain after certain position that will consider as muscle pain
At the same time if you try to sleep, sit, and stand but pain is there and you feel it, than it consider cancer pain
My experience with Orgovyx and Xtandi has been mostly mild, tired if I let myself be and some brain fog from time to time. In regards to pain, I think it’s important to know where your metastasis is and whether there’s any pain in these areas, regarding joint pain, regular exercise is by far the best medicine. I’ve been on these Mets for almost two years with one 5 month break. My MO thinks I’m a good candidate for intermittent treatment, so far so good. I’m blessed with having the opportunity to battle this disease for 9 years now and I’ve made it to 77. Wishing you God’s speed with your battle!
All cores positive, Gleason 7. I had two rounds of radiation(one 39 sessions, one 5 of the higher dosage). These were 4 and 5 years after prostatectomy.
From what I've read cancer related pain often comes from metastasis that fracture bones and that can be excruciating. I too am having musculoskeletal pains while on Orgovyx and on Xtandi and it is not what I would call excruciating. It feels more like it would feel the day after, if I had never lifted weights before and then suddenly decided to over do it. Not fun for sure but not quite excruciating.
