I have read on some posts here that there is some way to get Nubeqa without paying anything.

Would anyone know what is the process for applying for that and what is it called ?

The patient advocate at my cancer center applied for me. No cost so far. I do currently have private insurance which was required. As soon as I transition to Medicare this year the copay assistance will end so I am told. It'll go through Medicare at that time and I'm not sure the cost then.

Very disturbing that patient assistance is not generally extended to those with part D…..just when you need it the most…..anyone know why?

No clue why that is . The person on the phone at Access Services for Nubeqa brought it up a couple of times, that I need to contact them as soon a Im on Medicare even though I'll still be carrying my current insurance after Im enrolled in Medicare.

I'm on Medicare Advantage and I'm able to get it for no cost through Bayer's program.

That’s terrific…..there are always exceptions.

From when I spoke with Bayer, I don't get the sense I was an exception at all.

That’s hopeful….perhaps things are changing?

I’ve tried in the past to get patient assistance for a few different drugs and was told that I needed commercial or no insurance to qualify….this has been the experience of many on this forum…..glad it hasn’t been for you……speaking of exceptions I get my abiraterone for no copay ….i don’t question it.

Your oncologist’s office should help you with the paperwork that needs to be submitted.

Like other people are saying, the patient advocate at my hospital was able to help me get it.

Bayer has a financial assistance program whereby they provide the drug for free if you meet certain income limits — proof of income is required in the application. Your household income has to be below a certain percentage of national poverty level, I believe it’s 300%. When I applied it turned out to be $91,000/year. They look at income, not assets (such as value of your home, bank accounts, investment accounts etc.). You have to reapply each year. I’ve found them to be very helpful. You can call the # on their website, or the one provided in a previous post. Good luck!

hello, my father was on nubeqa for 1 year, unfortunately we we’re procuring it from Canada and paying it ourselves as it is not available for MHSPC. As he became MCRPC we have some nubeqa available. If I am not wrong 2 packages. We would be glad to help you if you want and to send them to you by mail or other means for free. We live in Portugal but will traveling to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico in 2 or 3 weeks as my father will be starting Doctor Williams treatment there. Please let us know if we can help

May I ask what is Doctor Williams treatment?

aifernandes profile image
aifernandes in reply toDocker53

yes sure. He is the doctor behind the syncromune treatment that had a very good response rate in prostate cancer: syncromune.com/ . The clinical trial will start in the USA in the second semester of this year, but a similar therapy is practiced in his institute. If you see the testimonials in this site: williamscancerinstitute.com/, he has amazing results. His book that you can find here explain a lot better the treatment. drive.google.com/file/d/14f...

I'll be glad to give you more details if you want to explore.

Kind Regards

Ana

Me and da boys get it free,. We just walk around the pharmacist's station and take what we want. We also remember to fist bump with the waiting cops outside before we drive off in our new Tesla.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

In Canada, Bayer supplies Nubeqa to qualifying patients through their DART program. I was told that to qualify, a patient's combined net (post-taxes and deductions) household income needed to be under 170,000$ per year (Canadian dollars).

This may vary from the US program. Nubeqa street price in Canada is roughly 3900$ Canadian per bottle/month.

The number for the program in Canada is 1-833-955-3278.

Our oncologist's assistant processed us through Barnes Pharmacy which contacted Bayer Patient Services. We completed a couple forms relative to income and receive Nubeqa at no cost. We have Medicare and a supplement through Anthem Blue Cross. It was a very simple process.
