On a Cardiac CT scan for my husband his internist (Not from MSK) found a nodule. This is what the impression said:
"Stable 3 mm nodule in the left upper lobe, probably an impacted small airway or benign lymph node. Recommend follow-up per clinical/oncologic protocol in this patient with reported prostate cancer."
Even though the PSMA scan did not have any uptake in the lungs should I be worried? I sent the report to his MSK drs. Waiting to hear back.

Mot seeing the scan., just going by the report, it is most likely a benign lesion. The protocol is to do a follow up scan in 6 months. These kinds of lesions are not unusual as we age.
If it's "stable" that implies it was imaged at an earlier date. Yeah a lot of things show up on imaging, which is why "overdiagnosis" and "overtreatment" are a thing.
I had a chest/abdomen/pelvis CT a few months ago prior to heart surgery. Radiologist noted "nodularity" in my lungs, and a nodule on my thyroid. I'm not even looking into the lung thing now, but I've got to keep watching the thyroid nodule (which is likely nothing anyway).
