Glad you enjoyed the area. Looks like you caught the Spring blooms.

We left the East coast and came west and never looked back. We enjoy the life style, etc. We loaded up our car and as two newly married kids started our adventure together.

We are now enjoying Northern AZ. We moved from the base of the Superstition Mountains to being now full time in our vacation home.

Our dream would be to wake up every morning to that view of the Superstitions.. We did a short hike there this winter.... We have relatives in ShowLow.. Beautiful area. not so hot during summer months.. Glad you can enjoy it full time!, Congrats!

We sold that house in the superstitions when we moved further north to Flagstaff and retired. Enjoying the four seasons was our goal.

Yes the view of those mountains was amazing. We had an unobstructed view of the mountains.

However the view from our Flagstaff home is also equally amazing but different. The back of our 5 acres borders the national forest. Our house sits on the back acre nearest the forest and overlooks our meadow below.

To maximize the view of the forest our bedroom and great room have 16’ walls of glass and all the others windows offer either a sunrise/sunset view or a forest/meadow area view. We were very lucky to find this property. However building in a mountainous area like ours was really was a challenge.

When I was designing the house I would camp up here so that I could capture all the seasonal light changes and frame those views and seasonal changes into the house design.

Thank you for sharing this! A few years ago I visited my son in Scottsdale and he surprised me by taking me to the Desert Botanical garden and all of the cacti were in bloom!! I didn't know cactus flowered! The colors were so vibrant and beautiful, I was amazed. Your photo reminded me of how incredibly beautiful it is there! Take care
