Florida Beach Bars

Danced at beach bars, on our light feet,
from Clearwater Beach, to Old St. Pete.
.
We encountered a singer, with the voice of a star.
When we made a quick stop, at the Bamboo Beach Bar.
.
Now together with, Taria and Marty,
At salty Sea Hagg’s, we’d dance and we’d party.
.
For breakfast we stopped, at the Sweet Brewnette.
We danced a quickie, one of our best yet.
.
The singer she smiled, and she did say.
Our dancing that morning, had “made her day”
.
Our Favorite spot, was the bar Jimmy B’s.
Shrimp boiled in a bag, for you and for me.
.
I requested the band man, to play “My Girl”
So I could give you, a Coco-nut twirl.
.
For the young band leader, the tune was new,
their sound was mostly, country and blue.
.
After much discussion, they did finally play,
Our favorite song, in a brand new way.
.
After we danced, he called us “cute”,
the smiles on his band mates, were quite a tribute.
.
To dance with Coco, is such a delight.
I’d gladly do it, every night !
