happy holidays …. And a quick update

Just a quick note to wish all the warriors here a happy holidays with friends and family.

As an update, I’m off all treatments and my psa remains <0.014. I remain grateful for the respite. My last degeralix injection and darolutamide was in May, and the SBRT to my ribs and neck about 2 years ago now. The docetaxel also seems a distant memory too. No lasting side effects that I can tell. Just a bit older and slower I suppose.

Hard to say whether just ADT plus Nubeqa would’ve given the same result, but so far I’m grateful for the triplet therapy, including the chemo and SBRT. Embark studies and results seem to confirm intensification for situations like mine.

awesome! About to follow your path , took last 3mo Lupron shot Dec 5. How often are you checking PSA and Testosterone?

I have been getting a monthly PSA and T test (I had to ask my doctor for the T to be added), along with CBC and metablolic lab tests since I had some low cell counts after the chemo. The T has been back in a normal range for ~5 months or so and PSA is still holding in the “<“ range on the post-therapy sensitive test.

I may cut back to quarterly tests soon, since there isn’t much we would do right away upon a detectable PSA test. The frequent tests cranks up the anxiety each time. Best of luck on your journey.
