Happy Easter ~ Update Increased Met - PSA

Good morning everyone and Happy Easter.

I haven’t posted anything lately, but I pray for us all. In late February I had another PET scan that showed increased activity in both size and location of the METS. That prompted a visit to MD Anderson. I spent last week in Houston. I met with Dr Pilie and his team. Then I had a bone biopsy done on Thursday. Now it’s the waiting game for results to come back, Then to see what treatment he recommends. PSA went up from .45 to .8 in 3 weeks. The waiting game is the worst. I’m very thankful and grateful for a loving wife, family and friends for support in this fight. You are all included in this group.

I know we are all in it together. The knowledge and insight shared on this page is amazing. I am so appreciative for stumbling upon this forum.

Stay strong and take care.

What is the result of your Bone Specific Alkaline Phosphatase...If it is above 20 mcgm/L , the possibility of bone mets go up. Below 20 mcgm/L ,chances of bone mets are minimum to nil.( if you do not have Lytic lesions...and have only Osteoblastic lesions)

Alkaline Phosphatase is 126 down from 2500 last summer.

Wow....Your bone mets seem to be melting away like Ice cream in Summer Sun. But Bone specific ALP can tell the story more accurately.

Let us know which direction you go after results are in. Did you get the GA68 PSMA scan at UCLA?

You can't do better than MD Anderson. Let us know when you get the results.

Happy Easter. Hope you get good results and a gentle path forward. Is there anyone in Texas named LittleTex? I know there's a Bigj-o-h-n in Texas. And there's a Littlej-o-h-n in New York City.

You know, for most people here, what's supposed to be big is little, and what's supposed to be little is big. I don't need my jock strap anymore. I may need to go to a size B cup, and I could really use a tummy tuck. And these shoes! I need some Easter shoes.
