Hello again, I have asked a couple questions at the beginning of this journey and it has been very helpful. I had only went to my Urologist and felt like he was not doing all that could be done. I went to UPMC--U of Pittsburg--Hillman Cancer Center--Harrisburg PA for a second opinion. I am very glad that I did, they are wanting to do radiation on some of my structural bone METS, and then start Chemo. (my Urologist wanted to just keep on lupron for now and then we will see what happens.) I am currently waiting on the MO to have Radiation Oncologist look at my bone scan to see how much etc. One of our son's is a nurse and helped us sort thru some of this.
My PSA continues to drop which I am most grateful.
started at 82.2, down to 5.45 now down to 3.53
if anyone has more advice, let me know,
I am so grateful the have the Peace of God in my heart thru this journey. This helps to keep a positive attitude thru it all.
thanks and have a good day.

The radiation is palliative and will prevent fractures in the future. Consider combining Xofigo with the chemo. In one clinical trial, they were able to lower the docetaxel dose and increase effectiveness. See "Chemotherapy" section in the article about Xofigo below:
I place my trust 100% on my urologic medical oncologist. I keep my urologist primarily to keep him informed about what’s going on at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He seems to appreciate it. (I also get my Eligard and Prolia shots from my urologist.)
After surgery and radiation in 2017, 2 years later my PSA was elevated and scans showed Mets in my spine. I was started on Lupron and Zytiga. 3.months later my psa was undetectable, Scans a year later were clear of Mets. I continue on the same regimen and will see my oncologist at Mayo next week.
